Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on or off as preferred)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Cook the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down (if using skin-on salmon). Sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon is mostly cooked through.
- Add the Glaze: Flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, occasionally spooning the sauce over the salmon as it reduces and becomes sticky. Be careful not to overcook the salmon.
- Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
